Blockify Has Been Rebuilt

Blockify 6.0 was a complete rebuild from the ground up. Version 6.1 takes things further with the return of feed blocking, a new onboarding tour, and more.

v6.1 - Latest Release

What's New in v6.1

New
Feed Blocking Is BackBeta
Feed blocking has been completely rebuilt and reintroduced. You can now hide homepage feeds on Instagram, X/Twitter, and YouTube with a simple toggle. A master switch lets you pause all feed blocking at once, and a dedicated settings page gives you per-platform control. Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, and LinkedIn are coming soon. This feature is in beta as it rolls out in its new form.
New
Onboarding Quick Tour
A guided walkthrough now appears for new users and after major updates. It walks you through site blocking, feed blocking, and element blocking step by step. You can revisit the tour anytime from the "Quick Tour" link in the popup.
Improved
Three-Tab Layout
The popup now features a dedicated Feeds tab alongside Sites and Elements. Feed blocking has its own space, making it easier to manage all three types of blocking in one place.

v6.0 - Major Release

What's New in v6.0

New
Block Any Element on Any Website
The biggest change in this release. Previously, Blockify could only block entire websites or hide feeds on specific platforms. Now you can click on literally anything on any webpage and hide it. A sidebar, a comment section, a notification badge, an ad banner, a homepage feed, a video player, anything. If you can see it, you can block it.
New
Element Picker
A brand-new "Pick Element" tool lets you visually select what to hide. Click the button, hover over the page to see elements highlighted, and click to block. No technical knowledge needed.
New
Completely Redesigned Interface
The popup has been rebuilt from scratch. A clean two-tab layout separates site blocking and element blocking. Everything is faster, clearer, and easier to navigate.
New
Domain-Based Rule Management
Element blocking rules are now organized by domain. You can see exactly what you've hidden on each site and manage rules per domain with a built-in domain selector.
Improved
Universal Site Blocking
Site blocking is now simpler and more reliable. Type any domain, hit Block, and it's done. No more toggling platform-specific switches. Block any website you want, not just a predefined list.
Improved
In-App Support and Feedback
Support and Feedback links are now built directly into the popup, making it easy to reach out if you need help or want to share ideas.
Fixed
Resilient Element Blocking
The old version relied on platform-specific selectors that would break whenever social media platforms changed their code. The new CSS selector-based approach is far more resilient. When you pick an element, Blockify generates a stable selector that continues to work even when platforms update their internal class names.
Fixed
Reliable Blocking Across Sessions
Previous versions occasionally lost blocking rules or failed to apply them consistently after browser restarts. The new storage system ensures your rules persist reliably across all sessions.
